These socks run very big for a woman. The size chart says to order a size medium for a women's size 8, and that was much to big. The heels went up to my ankle. I also wasn't really impressed with the quality/feel of the socks. I wanted some good running socks, but these wouldn't have been very good for that. Maybe for cycling for a man they would make good socks, but for a lady running not so much. If you do decide to order, size down. I had to pay $7 to look at socks that wouldn't work for me with the original $3.60 for shipping and another $3.60 to send them back. Not to mention I ordered one of each color socks, but for some reason was sent and charged for three orange. I've had them for over a year now and there are no holes or open seams. They've lasted great. Would definitely recommend. they're not thick and don't add bulk inside your bike shoes.
