What a godsend. I'm allergic to wool, so for years I've had to wear synthetic hiking socks while my other half enjoys the warmth and comfort of wool. These were just perfect; no allergic reaction, and really warm! My only criticism is that the ankle cuffs are tight - as a woman of South Indian descent, I have the skinniest dang legs of anyone I know - really. And they're even a bit tight on me, so I can't imagine how tight they are on someone with larger calves!
